Gluten free ravioli: tasty, but not as solid as advertised.
In trial 1, one or more ravioli decided it's insides belonged in the water. Looks messy. Note to self: use larger pot.
Trial 2 of fake ravioli, again insides not belonging where they should. Pasta sauce congeals more than anticipated. Take careful note of what's being bought next time. Note to self: Pot too large, overcompensation can lead to issues.
Bought broccoli. Didn't anticipate a lack of steamer to cook said broccoli.
Enter Sciencesteam rig.
1 pot containing water producing steam
1 metal strainer
1 glass lid large enough to fit most of the way up the steamer.
2 heads of cut broccoli.
Trial 1: Success. Broccoli turned out exactly the way it should. Will definitely have to use rig again. Note to self: make note of cooking time for use in future.
Trial 2: Near Success. Using pot so large bottom of steamer has thin layer of water. Regrettable, but no other cooking options, also plan to use pot to boil pasta. Note to self: skimping on equipment leads to inferior outcome, suck it up and wash a dish or two if necessary.
Mushrooms turn out successful. Touch of butter, and slices of mushrooms, maybe a dash of salt or garlic = Success.
All trials of mushrooms have yielded successful and delicious results.
Will have to cook more. Note to self: keep an eye out for sales on bulk mushrooms. They will get eaten. They will be delicious.
First time science-ing baconeggs at new place, regret not having rubber spatula. While using inferior utensils, result still resounding Success.
Note to self: get larger variety of spices. Not just for baconeggs.
